DIWALI CONTRIBUTION

The students of the Velammal Vidyalaya Annexure not only excel in academics but also in social activities. In view of celebrating Diwali, the students took a vow not to pour money over fireworks and pomp. Instead, they made generous contributions to the needy. Students from K-12 collected provision and grocery items which were around two lakh worth and handed them over to different mercy homes namely, Kalaiselvi Karunalayam, The Banyan and Illanthalir orphanage, and an    Old age home respectively. The inmates of the shelters were very happy to receive them.

This Diwali is made meaningful by putting charity before celebrations. The school management appreciated the effort of the team, and students and the goodwill of the parents.
