THE SINDHI COMMUNITY PITCHES IN TO HELP THE POOR AND NEEDY WITH RATION KITS.

The outbreak of Corona virus has come as a devastating blow to an already slowing economy particularly the daily wage earners are badly hit. The humongous efforts put in by the centre and state governments are truly commendable and appreciable, In such testing times the Sindhi Community is never far behind to lend a helping hand.

Sindhi Chamber of Commerce and Sindhi Multani Bankers Association under the leadership of Shri Nandlal Pokardas have distributed one thousand five hundred ration kits in various parts of Chennai to the poor and needy. Each ration kit consists of rice, wheat flour, rava, maida, vermicelli, oil, salt, dhal’s, pepper, jeera. Washing powder, soap etc. the contents of each kit will be sufficient for a family of four for one week. The 1500 ration kits costing Rs.15,00,000 ( Rupees fifteen Lacs only) will benefit a total of six thousand needy people. We thank all the donors for their generous contributions.

Apart from this many  Sindhi brothers are preparing food and distributing food packets every day.
