30th Convocation Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research University
Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Deemed to be University, Maduravoyal, Chennai solemnized its 30th Convocation on 30th December 2021 at Dr.M.G.R. Indoor Auditorium, A.C.S Medical College and Hospital Campus, Velappanchavadi, Chennai. Dr.C.B.Palanivelu, Registrar informed that 4952 Degrees were awarded to the successful graduands of Ph.D.,PG and UG programmes of B.Tech., M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.Arch., B.P.T., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BCA, M.D.S., M.Tech., M.Arch., M.B.A., M.C.A., M.P.T. and M.Sc.
Dr. L. Murugan – Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting was the Chief Guest of the 30th Convocation Proceedings and delivered the Convocation address. While delivering his convocation address and congratulating the young students, the Union Minister of State reminded the students the words of Dr.A.PJ.AbdulKalam, Former President of India, who had said that students should never stop their fight till they achieve their destined place and he further advised the students to develop their skills and update themselves to achieve the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji’s Make in India concept. They should never forget put in their hard work for realizing their dreams to come true and later distributed the degrees to the Rank Holders and Ph.D. Degree awardees.
Dr.A.C.Shanmugam — Founder—Chancellor delivered the keynote address, while Er.A.C.S.Arunkumar—President of the University presided over the Convocation. Rests of the eligible grandaunds belonging to various faculties were presented their degrees through virtual mode. Shri. A. Ravikumar – Secretary, Prof. R.M. Vasagam – Chancellor, Dr. S. Geethalakshmi — Vice Chancellor, Dr. G. Gopalakrishnan — Provost, Prof. Dr. G.C. Kothandan — Executive Director, Dr. D. Viswanathan — Rector (R&D), Prof. Dr.M.Ravichandran – Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M.K. Padmanabhan — Vice President, Prof. Dr.C.S. Jayachandran – Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Shri. N. Vasudevan – IAS (Retd.) – Project Director, Dr.K. Dhanavel- IAS (Retd.), Special Officer were the other dignitaries present along with the Officials and Faculties of the University making this 30thConvocation Function one of the unforgettable and happiest moment in the minds of the fresh Graduates.
