Inauguration of staff quarters for employees at Sevalaya

The inauguration of the Sevalaya Chellamma Bharathi Staff Quarters, constructed with the financial assistance of Page Pierre Foundation, Switzerland was held at Kasuva centre near Thiruninravur in Thiruvallur district on 5th February 2024.

Page Pierre, Professor Daniel Oyon of the Page Pierre Foundation and his wife and two of their friends were the Special Guests. The guests lit the traditional lamp, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the staff quarters.



Speaking at the function, Professor Daniel Oyon said, “I have been visiting Sevalaya for the past 15 years. I feel blessed to have a good wife, good friends and to be associated with a good organisation like Sevalaya.”

Page Pierre said, “I have been coming to Sevalaya for 15 years. I see many changes and improvements here every time I visit. I am very happy to see that our little help makes a big difference here. Due to the excellent management of Sevalaya, the organisation is making good progress and the number of beneficiaries are increasing every year. The cultural programmes are also getting better and better with each passing year. All the girls who danced look like great professional dancers”. He also advised the students to make best use of the opportunities provided, study well and succeed in life.”

The newly opened quarters have 10 apartments to accommodate staff members and their families. These apartments are built with all the basic amenities in a well-ventilated, natural environment.



Page Pierre Foundation, Switzerland, has been assisting Sevalaya since 2009. In 2021, the Page Pierre Foundation financed the construction of four primary school classrooms and assisted in COVID-19 pandemic relief operations. Some of the foundation’s highlighted fundings include the sponsorship of a school bus, the construction of a science centre, a biogas plant, a solar plant, computers, a community college meeting hall shed, a paver block pathway for a primary school, a cycle shed, a library reading room, and the development of Go Digital – Sevalaya’s Internal ERP system.
