The annual basketball tournament hosted by the Union Christian Matriculation School was held on the 17th and 18th of November at school. Over 16 teams from various schools in both the boy’s and girls’ categories participated. This is the 17th year of this tournament held in memory of Mr. Renny Abraham, a former pupil of the institution.

His mother Mrs. Sally Abraham, Director, ABAN Ltd who presided over the function presented the felicitations at the closing ceremony. Also present were the General Secretary of the UCA Mr. Vinod Simon and the Correspondents of the UCA schools Mrs. Sheeba Ninan and Mrs. Elizabeth George.

The Velammal International School won the rolling trophy in the boy’s category while UC Matric was the runner-up. In the girl’s category, the winners were Vidhyodaya Hr Sec School and the runners-up HLC International School.
