Over a year back, AGBS sought the help of the Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna (RCMCP) to be its parent club for its Rotaract Club. The idea of starting Rotaract Club was moved by Prof K. Saranya and seconded by Madhumitha, alumni of Ethiraj College, who was a Rotaractor then. AGBS Director & Campus Head Vengadamani gave the nod.
At a grand installation ceremony on March 3, Madhumitha was chosen as this year President. She was given Rotary Pin and Gavel by RCMP President Chakravarthy. She along with other office bearers were administered Oath by Prof Saranya.
President Chakravarthy welcomed the Amity Rotaract Club office bearers and said it was the second Rotaract Club for the club after the world’s largest women Rotaract Club of Ethiraj College. He was ever willing to provide assistance to the Rotaractors to serve the society.
