Bhumi launches virtual Climate Action Camp for 12-15-year-olds
Bhumi, one of India’s largest volunteering organizations is launching its first-ever Climate Action Camp for young leaders. After three years of successfully running environmental education programs for schools, this time we invite schools and parents to empower children through a free online learning Camp for India’s top 300 budding environment enthusiasts.
The selected students will be mentored for a period of six weeks starting 10th April on multiple aspects of Climate Change with resources from the Office for Climate Education ( Paris).
This Camp includes experiment-based sessions, exciting contests, and impact projects. Children will interact with Climate Crisis experts from around the globe as a part of this camp.
Climate Change means that by 2050 our children who will be young citizens by then would be competing for natural resources like clean air & water.
This makes it imperative for our children to be eco-conscious thinkers and action-takers on Climate Change. Eco-Champs Climate Action Camp will ensure we do this right.
The most deserving students also stand a chance to win awards and exclusive entry into Bhumi’s Children for Change Council post Camp completion.
The Camp is Bhumi’s attempt to remind us that “we do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children” and we look forward to receiving participation from schools and parents before the deadline of 31st March. To know more about the Camp, visit www.bhumi.ngo/ecocamp
