Training  programmes by TNAU

TNAU Information and Training Centre, Guindy, Chennai organise the following training programmes during November  2022.

1. Mushroom Cultivation –           11.2022      – Wednesday
2. Organic Farming –           11.2022      – Thursday

During this training programme detailed information on Mushroom Cultivation viz., mother spawn preparation, method of inoculation, multiplication of spawn from mother spawn, spawn running & cropping room, preparation of cylindrical beds, spawning the bed, cropping and Harvesting of mushroom, packing & storage, the nutritive value of mushroom & economics of spawn and mushroom production will be given.  In addition, the hands-on demonstrations will be given on bed preparation and cultivation of mushrooms.

This Organic Farming training programme will envisage the various components including concepts and principles of organic farming, Soil health management, Organic nutrient management including manures, green manures, biofertilizers and other special organic inputs, Organic way of pest and disease management and Organic certification. In addition to training components a hands-on demonstration on Organic inputs preparation viz., Panchagavya preparation will be done.

 The programmes will be useful to urban people, homemakers, Gardeners, farmers, youths, Self Help Groups and students.
