Santa Stores Installs the Tallest Christmas tree amongst the Churches in Chennai at Santhome Cathedral Basilica
A spectacular 30-feet tall Christmas tree, adorned with colorful lights, was consecrated and lit at the Santhome Cathedral Basilica, located on Santhome High Road, Chennai. The grand ceremony took place amidst a gathering of clergy, media, and members of the community.
The event was inaugurated by Most Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, in the presence of Fr. Vincent Chinnadurai, Rector and Parish Priest of Santhome Cathedral Basilica. During the occasion, Archbishop George Antonysamy consecrated the towering Christmas tree and ceremoniously lit it, marking the beginning of the festive celebrations.
Addressing the media after the lighting, Archbishop George Antonysamy shared his thoughts: “Today, a 30-feet high Christmas tree has been erected in this cathedral complex. I express my happiness that this Christmas tree has been installed to give us hope and light in life.
