SIP Academy India, which provides world-class skill development programs for Children in India and around the world, celebrates its 18th anniversary in Chennai with an announcement of a noble initiative. The initiative will help their students who lost their parents in this Pandemic to continue and finish their respective courses free of cost.

Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director of SIP Academy India presided over the anniversary function at its headquarters in Chennai and franchise partners from all over India & 13 other countries, course instructors and students of the academy have all participated virtually. SIP Academy today has a presence in 22 states in India and has benefitted over 9.5 lakhs children since 2003.

During the announcement of the initiative Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India said, “The first and second wave of the pandemic had left a big scar in all walks of life. Until we overcome this period it’s only fair to be an aiding hand to one another in this tough phase of our lives. SIP Academy has identified those students who are in need of our support at this time. 141 children who were studying our SIP Abacus and Global art courses have so far lost a parent during the pandemic. SIP Academy India will offer them free course completion for the courses that they are currently studying in. Our full course duration takes from 3.5 to 4 years to complete. Irrespective of which level the child is currently at, we will offer full course duration free of cost – thus waiving away the monthly fee that is applicable”.

“Our course instructors are all women with a total of over 4000 instructors across India, who teaches the two internationally accredited programmes- SIP Abacus and Globalart. Of the 850 franchisees who own and run the teaching centres, 95% are women. These women entrepreneurs and instructors are an integral part of our journey with many of them having been with us for over 15 years.  As a corporate, it envigored us into action – to pivot from an offline-centre based business model to an online model. The energy and enthusiasm of our partners to adapt and move forward allowed us to achieve the transform of our business model within 2 months. The course instructors kept over 75,000 children engaged, motivated and eager to learn – with over 2 Million hours of classroom sessions”, he further added.

Commenting on the women’s power of SIP Academy India, the MD said, “In the face of one of the most disruptive world incidents in our recent history, the tenacity and resilience of these women warriors is inspirational. We are proud to share that SIP Abacus and Globalart programmes helped their family to survive comfortably when the pandemic impacted the incomes of their spouses. SIP Academy takes pride in being able to partner these courageous women”.

The transformation we see in the children who go through our courses envigored us into action to continue being able to make a difference during the pandemic. SIP Academy’s SIP Abacus and Globalart programmes received very good response as children enrolled in the program in large numbers even during the pandemic times to get the benefit of developing the power of concentration, focus, visual memory, retention and recall, in addition to strong arithmetic skills and creativity and thus the overall development of confidence of a child

An amazing affirmation of our success was that we got over 600 videos of our students in Tamil Nadu on Facebook under the hashtag #sipsuperhero in the month of June in which children were doing arithmetic calculations along with other activities like classical dancing, playing a musical instrument or solving the rubik’s cube puzzle, etc. Overall across India more than 11000 children posted similar videos that astounded people who saw them.
