JK Tyre and Industries Ltd Revitalizes Kolathur Villages pond with 16 Lakh CSR Initiative

As part of its CSR activities, JK Tyre and Industries Ltd has sponsored projects worth around 16 lakhs, benefiting two villages in Kolathur Panchayat, Kanchipuram District.

The projects include pond restoration and rejuvenation in these villages. Sevalaya is the implementation partner. These facilities were inaugurated at a function in Kolathur Village Panchayat on 24th June 2024.

Rajendran, Head of Human Resources & CSR committee member, and Pankaj Jain, General Manager of Commercial, were the Chief Guests.

During their speeches, the Chief Guests advised the villagers to utilize the facilities created for them and to maintain them properly.

The ponds at Mettu-Kolathur and Vellarai have been cleaned, covering an area of around 22,000 square feet, by removing waste vegetation, aiming to provide clean drinking water to approximately 2,200 residents. Seven-foot cement posts with five-foot fencing and 3 X 3-inch chain links have been installed to protect against the dumping of waste materials in the pond.

Earlier, V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya, welcomed the gathering and distributed mementos.

இத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம் வெள்ளாரை மற்றும் மேட்டுக்கொளத்தூர் கிராமங்களில் சீரமைக்கப்பட்ட இரண்டு குளங்கள் 24 ஜூன் 2024 அன்று பொது மக்கள் பயன்பாட்டிற்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டன.

ஜே கே டயர் அண்ட் இண்டஸ்ட்ரீஸ் நிறுவன மனித வளத் துறைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் சி எஸ் ஆர் குழு உறுப்பினர் ராஜேந்திரன் அவர்களும் வணிகத்துறை பொது மேலாளர் பங்கஜ் ஜெயின் அவர்களும் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக பங்கேற்றனர்.

இத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம் அப்பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் 2200 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கிராமவாசிகள் பயனடைவர்.

சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள் பேசுகையில், சீரமைக்கப்பட்ட குளங்களைச் சிறப்பாகப் பராமரித்து பயனடையுமாறு கிராம வாசிகளைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டனர்.

இக்குளங்களில், 22,000 சதுர அடி பரப்பளவு கொண்ட இடத்தில் தூர்வாரப்பட்டு, குப்பை வீசப்படாமல் இருப்பதற்காக பாதுகாப்பு வேலிகளும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

சேவாலயா நிறுவனர் மற்றும் நிர்வாக அறங்காவலர் வி முரளிதரன், விழாவிற்கு வருகை தந்தோரை வரவேற்று, சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களுக்கு நினைவுப் பரிசுகளை வழங்கினார்.
