Fortis Hospital, Vadapalani opens new 17 bedded Multi-Disciplinary Intensive Care Unit
– New Intensive Care Unit was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu Thiru Ma. Subramanian
In a continuous effort to bring quality healthcare to all patients, Fortis Hospital Vadapalani has inaugurated a state-of-the-art 17 bedded Multi-Disciplinary Intensive Care Unit today. The new facility is equipped with advanced technologies and round-the-clock multi-disciplinary specialists aimed to offer a high level of intensive care to critically ill patients. This will be an additional unit to the existing 58 ICUs at the center. The ICU was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamilnadu – Thiru. Ma. Subramanian, who also shared an insight into the growing need for advanced healthcare services and the various initiatives from the government to support the same. Thiru. Venkat Phanidhar Nelluri, SBU Head at Fortis Hospital Vadapalani, and Senior Medical personnel were also present at the launch.
Multidisciplinary staff members like Cardiologists, Orthopedics, Neurologists, Pulmonologists, Gastroenterologists, and Hepatologists will provide continuous support in the intensive care unit to treat those who have undergone complex surgeries involving bones and organs.

அனைத்து நோயாளிகளுக்கும் தரமான மருத்துவ சேவையை வழங்குவதற்கான தொடர் முயற்சியாக, வடபழனியில் உள்ள ஃபோர்டிஸ் மருத்துவமனையில் 17 படுக்கைகள் கொண்ட பல்துறை தீவிர சிகிச்சை பிரிவு இன்று திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த புதிய வசதி மேம்பட்ட தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் மற்றும் 24 மணி நேர பல்துறை நிபுணர்களின் கண்காணிப்பில் செயல்படும். இது தீவிர சிகிச்சை நோயாளிகளுக்கு உயர்-நிலை தீவிர சிகிச்சையை வழங்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஏற்கனவே மையத்தில் உள்ள 58 ஐசியூ படுக்கை கொண்ட பிரிவுகளுடன் இந்த புதிய ஐசியூ கூடுதல் பிரிவாக இருக்கும். மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு மா. சுப்பிரமணியன் மேம்படுத்தப்பட்ட சுகாதார சேவைகளுக்கான வளர்ந்து வரும் தேவை மற்றும் அதற்கு ஆதரவாக அரசாங்கத்தின் பல்வேறு முயற்சிகள் பற்றிய தகவல்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். வடபழனி ஃபோர்டிஸ் மருத்துவமனையின் தலைவர் திரு. வெங்கட்டா ஃபணிதர் நெல்லூரி மற்றும் மூத்த மருத்துவப் பணியாளர்களும் தொடக்க விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
இதயநோய், எலும்பியல், நரம்பியல், நுரையீரல், இரைப்பைக் குடலியல் மற்றும் கல்லீரல் போன்ற பல்துறை நிபுணர்கள் தீவிர சிகிச்சை பிரிவில் எலும்பு மற்றும் மற்ற உறுப்புகள் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட சிக்கலான அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்கு உட்படுத்தப்படும் நோயாளிகளுக்கு சிகிச்சை அளிப்பதற்காக இருபத்தி நான்குமணி நேரமும் இருப்பர்.
