Initiation of Dialysis center

The Sathyalok Mrs.Shanti Lulla MWRT -10 , Rotary Club of Chennai Capital TANKER Foundation dialysis center became operational with 10 beds at 2/1, Chettiyar Agaram Road, Porur, Ph 7904285840. This is a joint effort of Sathyalok Charitable Trust,Mr. Sanjay Lulla, MWRT -10 , Rotary Club of Chennai Capital, Rotary International, and TANKER Foundation. TANKER Foundation will be operating and managing the unit. This is TANKER’s 13th dialysis unit.

Mr. Sanjay Lulla, Mr.Dushyanth Chairman MWRT 10 , Mr.Sachin Nichani of MWRT 10, Dr.Kishore , President Rotary Club of Chennai Capital also participated and spoke. Mrs.Latha Kumaraswami , Managing Trustee TANKER Foundation gave an update about TANKER Foundation saying that TANKER has done over 502,161 lakh dialysis so far and given donations of over Rs.3.93 crore for medication, investigation and surgery costs.TANKER provides, through its 12 dialysis units,7404 dialysis per month of which 7397 are free of cost with valuable help from the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS), Greater Chennai Corporation and other valuable donors. At present, TANKER helps 766 patients.TANKER has also reached out to 1.9 Lakh people with kidney disease awareness programmes and screened 37000 people for kidney disease. She thanked all TANKER staff and all frontline workers for their selfless service, especially during the pandemic.
