Gifting Livelihood is the first step of helping communities.

Mrs. Y. Rajeswari is a resident of slum dwelling unit in Annai Sathya Nagar who makes her living by  selling clothes on the platform adjacent to Udavum Karangal Anna Nagar Office . She has been facing  many hardships during rainy days and even otherwise normally.  Since two weeks Mr. Vidyaakar, Social worker & Founder Udavum Karangal has been noticing  her struggle . When he enquired about her plight she divulged her pathetic condition of living. That her husband was jobless and she is the only bread winner of her family . The pavement cloth shop is the only source of income to her family.

Upon seeing her dedication, hard work and as a part of women empowerment and Community development Programme, Mr.Vidyaakar gifted a four wheeler-Push-Cart to Mrs. Y. Rajeswari. This will help to enhance her business not only during rainy days but also to move around to sell clothes. She thanked him for giving her hope to live with dignity.

Udavum Karangal, a 42 year old non-profit organization , with its office at No.460, NSK Nagar, Arumbakkam, Chennai-106,  strives hard to help the underprivileged by giving them education, good health and  to the downtrodden by providing financial support for their livelihood.
