RYA Cosmo, established in 1994, is one of the most respected social organisations in the city of Chennai which operates the noble scheme – MEDI BANK. Under the scheme RYA Cosmo distributes free medicines to needy patients in the Geriatric Ward & Cancer ward of Govt. General Hospital, Chennai. R.Y.A. Cosmo Foundation regularly conducts activities such as Medical, Cancer & Eye Camps. It also operates & manages a full-fledged Medical Day Care & Dialysis Centre, Cost-to-cost Pharmacy & Dispensary that offer affordable medical assistance to the needy & poor. The motto of MEDI BANK is to 'CARE THE UNCARED'

Achievements of R.Y.A. Cosmo Foundation are simply noteworthy such as providing medical assistance to needy patients of Geriatric Ward at the Government General Hospital since 1995 and Cancer Ward at the Government General Hospital since 1998, Donated a Lyca Microscope along with accessories in year 1999 to Adyar Cancer Institute, Served in the Natural Calamities by providing Medicines & Materials worth 1 Crore during Supe Cyclone of Orissa in 1999, Relief materials worth Rs.30 Lacs distributed to Earthquake affected areas of Bhuj, Gujarat in 2000, Built RYA Cosmo School at Kharoi Village, Gujarat, Materials worth Rs.15 Lacs was sent to Relief Camps of Tsunami affected peoples in 2004 and Multi-Mega speciality health camp was organised a Koovathur Village, near Kalpakkam where around 12000 peoples were screened with a cost of Rs.50 lacs and to top all that R.Y.A.Cosmo Foundation has Treated more than 2 Lac patients and conducted over 1000 dialysis through its Medi Bank Hospital.

Running on the generous donations from our selfless members the Shantidevi Jawaharmal Chandan Day Care & Diagnostic Centre offers facilities like Dialysis, Ultra Sound Scan, Echo, ECG, TMT, X-Ray, Laboratory, Multi-Speciality Consultancy and a Cost to Cost Pharmacy. The centre is equipped with all latest machines and facilities worth more than seven crores. On eve of its 20th anniversary our NGO has started an Eye clinic, modernized Physiotherapy and additional Dental Unit.

Chetan Bhagat writes op-ed columns for popular English and Hindi newspapers, including The Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar, focusing on youth, career and issues based on national development. In 2008, The New York Times cited Chetan Bhagat as "the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history". Time magazine named him amongst the '100 most influential people in the world' and Fast Company, USA, listed him as one of the world's '100 most creative people in business'.

Chetan Bhagat is the author of seven blockbuster books, columnist, screenwriter and a speaker. He is a youth icon and one of the brightest minds in the nation. Chetan Bhagat's books have remained bestsellers since their release. Four out his seven novels have been already adapted into successful Bollywood films and the others are in the process of being adapted as well. He is also a popular motivational speaker and screenplay writer.

This January RYA Cosmo joins hands with Chetan Bhagat to organise a talk show on "What Young India Wants". The talk show to be held on 11th January, 2015 at Lady Andal Auditorium, Harrington Road, Chennai at 6.30 p.m. will be an interactive session with Mr. Chetan Bhagat. Mr Chetan Bhagat will answer to the questions put forth by the audience. An inspiring speaker Mr. Chetan Bhagat will motivate the audience to participate in the open discussion and also give his insights on the subject. This show will be an eye opener in many ways giving a fresh perspective on the Indian Youth.

A country that has the maximum youth population in the world, India is a super power waiting to unleash its dominance. With a promising and bright future ahead, all our youngsters need is a little direction, a little inspiration, a fresh new perspective and a positive outlook. And who better to inspire them than India's most widely read English writer, Mr. Chetan Bhagat.
